Make the condition preference explicit
Choose new, used or open to both at the start of the enquiry. An open request should still explain what makes a candidate acceptable, such as seating, production period and inspection expectations. Panda handles both new and used ROX 01 requests. Availability must be confirmed for each offer, and a broad range of accepted years does not imply that every historical version can be supplied new.
Define new-car status carefully
For a new-car enquiry, state required production and registration status and ask for the available evidence. Clarify storage information, recorded mileage and pre-delivery preparation without treating a low odometer reading as a complete status check. If a seller uses a different commercial description, ask what it means in the proposed transaction. Keep these details attached to the candidate rather than assuming the word new settles every question.
Ask used-car questions separately
A used candidate needs available ownership and service history, declared mileage and an individual condition assessment. Ask what is known about repairs and what remains undocumented. Exterior photographs and a short driving clip do not establish the condition of the battery, range extender or underbody. The used inspection checklist provides a practical framework for requesting evidence and defining follow-up checks.
Compare the same useful specification
When evaluating a new and a used offer, align seating, battery version, required functions and included equipment before comparing prices. Different versions may explain more than condition alone. Refer to the ROX 01 identification guide if an original configuration or date is unclear. Record flexible preferences separately so a suitable alternative can be discussed without silently removing a requirement that matters to the customer.
Keep preparation and support visible
Ask what preparation is included and who is responsible for agreed work. For either condition, seek a written description of any support or warranty arrangement actually offered, including its provider and territorial scope. Do not infer overseas coverage from a manufacturer brochure or a new-car label. Identify outstanding technical questions early enough for the dealer to assess the ownership plan before making downstream commitments.
Send a brief that allows a useful reply
Include destination, approximate quantity, accepted years, required seating and the chosen condition preference. Add inspection priorities and whether budget covers the vehicle alone or a broader delivery scope. The quotation guide explains how to keep these items comparable. If you are open to both conditions, request separately described alternatives so each vehicle retains its own status, evidence and terms throughout the discussion.
BRING TO YOUR ENQUIRY
Three useful starting points.
- New, used or open condition preference
- Accepted production years and status requirements
- Condition evidence and unresolved acceptance items
