Describe where the car will charge
Start with the intended home, workplace or public charging arrangement. Identify the destination country and the specific equipment where known. A general statement that charging is available locally is less useful than a documented match between vehicle and charger. Keep daily charging access separate from the range extender’s ability to support longer travel; the two questions belong in the same ownership discussion but need different evidence.
Request the actual port information
Ask for clear photographs of charging ports, labels and supplied equipment together with the relevant vehicle specification. Do not assume that a global model page describes a China-market candidate. Match records to the vehicle identification pack. If the seller lists a connector standard, retain its exact description and ask for clarification where translated terminology or an unlabeled photograph leaves uncertainty.
Treat adapters as a separate assessment
A proposed adapter should not be accepted merely because its ends appear to fit. Compatibility, communication, ratings and permitted use need review against the vehicle and equipment documentation by suitable professionals. Ask the supplier to identify the exact accessory and its stated application. Avoid promising unrestricted public charging access on the strength of an accessory listing or an unverified demonstration involving a different vehicle.
Record a charging demonstration usefully
Request evidence showing the candidate, charger used, starting conditions and whether charging completed without reported faults. Identify the observation date and any warnings. A short successful session is evidence of that session, not proof of every charger combination or maximum charging performance. Keep findings with the battery and powertrain review and ask an inspector to investigate unexplained interruptions or fault indications.
List equipment included in the offer
Record charging cables, portable equipment and other supplied items by description and condition. Confirm which items belong to the vehicle offer and which are quoted separately. Ask for photographs where a missing cable or damaged connector could affect handover. Installation requirements at the destination should be assessed locally; vehicle sourcing alone does not establish that a particular building supply is suitable for charging.
Resolve uncertainty before customer promises
Classify each point as confirmed, pending assessment or outside the agreed scope. If destination charging remains unverified, preserve that limitation in the commercial discussion rather than describing the car as ready for every local charger. Use the dealer quote guide to allocate equipment and checking costs clearly. This gives the importer a practical basis for deciding whether further evidence or a different candidate is needed.
