ROX 01 Boot Space with Six or Seven Seats: Fit Checks

ROX 01 luggage suitability depends on the seats you need to keep available. A large load area photographed with seats folded may say little about an airport trip with every passenger aboard. Compare the offered six- or seven-seat layout using the actual luggage dimensions, normal seating positions and loading access you expect to use.

01

Choose the passenger arrangement before the bags

Write down how many people travel together and which seats must remain usable throughout the trip. The six- and seven-seat comparison establishes the layout question; the cargo check should then use that chosen arrangement. Do not treat a photograph of an empty cabin as evidence of useful space with passengers aboard.

Ask for the actual seat positions used in the demonstration. Moving a seat to improve luggage fit may change passenger comfort or access. A dealer comparing two offers needs the same practical conditions for both, with any compromise stated clearly instead of discovering at delivery that the photographed arrangement was unsuitable for normal journeys.

02

Measure the items that actually travel

List the outside dimensions of suitcases, including wheels and handles, and record how many of each size are needed. For a pushchair or other folding item, use its transport dimensions in the configuration the customer can reasonably reproduce. Labels such as large suitcase or compact stroller are too imprecise for a remote fit decision.

Include everyday extras that are easy to omit: charging accessories, a shopping bag or equipment normally carried for the passengers. The purpose is to test a realistic load rather than fit one selected bag into an otherwise empty vehicle. Keep a small record of the items so the same requirement can be checked against replacement candidates.

03

Check the opening as well as the floor

An item may appear to fit the floor dimensions yet be awkward to pass through the opening. Ask for a demonstration showing the loading route, available opening and final position. Note whether an item needs to be tilted, folded further or lifted in a way the intended user would find impractical.

A closed-tailgate photograph alone does not show how the load was arranged. Request enough context to confirm the intended seats remain available and no item has been forced against trim. Measurements should identify their reference points and any restrictions, rather than present one maximum dimension as if the entire cargo area were a rectangular box.

04

Test the complete load with normal seating

Where practical, request a loading demonstration using the specified items or clearly measured equivalents. Keep the passenger arrangement fixed, show the final placement and confirm normal closure without forcing it. If an exact item is unavailable, record the difference between the substitute and the customer's luggage instead of calling the result an exact fit.

A photograph helps explain the result but should not imply that the arrangement is suitable for driving unless the load can be secured appropriately. Ask the supplier to follow the applicable vehicle instructions for cargo placement and restraint. The buyer's acceptance should include usable passenger space and access, rather than volume alone at the expense of normal operation.

05

Identify the trade-off when a seat is folded

Some journeys may allow fewer passengers and a different cargo arrangement. Treat this as a separate scenario: state the seats folded, passengers retained and the items gained. It can be a useful alternative for occasional trips, but it does not answer a requirement to carry the original full passenger group with the same luggage.

Compare both scenarios in the offer review so the customer can choose deliberately. Avoid adding the passenger capacity from one arrangement to the luggage capacity of another. If the preferred daily arrangement cannot meet the trip requirement, record that limitation before considering optional storage equipment or assuming a different trim will solve the space constraint.

06

Account for accessories without assuming inclusion

The equipment and accessory checklist distinguishes reference imagery from the items in an offer. Roof equipment or outdoor accessories shown in promotional photographs should not be counted as supplied luggage solutions. Confirm the exact equipment, installation suitability and applicable limitations separately if it becomes part of the proposed arrangement.

For outdoor buyers, the camping-power equipment guide also helps identify additional items that require storage. Include those physical accessories in the loading plan rather than considering only their electrical purpose. A convenient power setup can still add equipment that competes with passenger luggage, particularly when the third row must remain available.

07

Send a fit requirement that another person can repeat

Prepare a short specification with passenger count, seat arrangement, luggage dimensions and a preferred demonstration. Send this with the requested condition and destination to Panda. It gives the supplier a repeatable question and makes it easier to explain why one offered configuration works while another requires a practical compromise.

Keep the accepted arrangement and any limitations with the final offer. If the layout or supplied accessories change, revisit the fit check instead of relying on photographs from an earlier candidate. The useful result is a documented loading arrangement for the intended journey, not an unsupported claim that every ROX 01 accommodates a particular family's entire luggage.
