ROX 01 Three-Row Family: Child Seats, Adults and Bags

A three-row ROX family brief should keep actual restraints, adults and bags together. Appropriate fitting, personal comfort and access are different decisions. Neither a spacious reference image nor a seller’s informal arrangement can approve the complete intended setup.

01

Connect the actual vehicle and restraint applications

Identify the original seating configuration and particular restraint products the household will use. Applicable vehicle and restraint instructions, with qualified help where needed, should govern the fitting assessment. The identity guide keeps the offered car’s original context intact. Do not infer compatibility from a visible mounting point, wide seat or another version’s photograph. Ask which information the assessment used and whether it corresponds to the actual applications. Record uncertainty where the necessary vehicle or restraint records are incomplete. The dealer can organise evidence without issuing a universal fitting procedure. A demonstration using a different restraint or position remains an example, not approval of the customer’s exact arrangement. Where several restraints are required, each relevant application and needed place must receive an appropriate answer before the layout is treated as established.

02

Preserve adults and useful settings across the rows

State the normal driver and front passenger positions, required second-row adults and any third-row users. The seating foundations distinguish capacity from the actual task. Keep those settings during the restraint-layout review instead of moving seats solely to create an attractive rear image. Appropriate fitting does not guarantee an adjacent adult’s personal comfort, and comfort cannot justify departure from applicable instructions. Label representative occupants and untested places. If the household accepts a different assignment, retain that concession explicitly. The adult third-row review asks a related but separate personal question. One favourable setting cannot approve another incompatible arrangement. The final family proposal should describe the actual supported layout, its required people and any unresolved personal or application assessment rather than treating three rows as automatic flexibility for every family combination.

03

Assess access without an improvised workaround

Ask how required passengers ordinarily board and leave under the actual vehicle’s instructions, with the intended restraint configuration retained. A third-row user already pictured in place does not establish the access task. The boarding review keeps personal movement separate from a spacious cabin appearance. Consider the normal location and usable door movement, not only a fully open display setting. Do not suggest unsupported seat, mounting or restraint modifications to make limited access appear solved. A proposed new product or altered arrangement needs its own appropriate assessment. If the family accepts boarding elsewhere or changing an assignment, record the deliberate routine. Parking information cannot create door clearance or approve fitting. The buyer should see which task the evidence represents, which requires personal evaluation and which needs relevant qualified input before the car is chosen for the complete household brief.

04

Add the load under the same occupied setup

Describe the actual pushchair, cases and other recurring objects in their normal packed form. The occupied load guide separates physical opening and bag fit from a brochure capacity. Retain all required restraints and passengers while reviewing that task. A folded seat cannot answer a journey that needs the same place available. Label representative dimensions and untested items, and follow applicable safe-load instructions rather than counting every apparent cabin gap as a storage solution. Ask about ordinary loading and retrieval at the family’s location. If larger occasional trips use fewer bags or another accepted plan, state the variation rather than hiding it inside a general family-fit claim. The useful record should preserve one combined assignment the customer actually intends to repeat, with any evidence limitation visible.

05

Combine layout with individual condition and final scope

For a used candidate, retain relevant current seat, restraint and disclosed-work findings, with appropriate assessment of material concerns. Personal comfort or a tidy cabin cannot clear unexamined consequences. For new sourcing, identify the actual wanted arrangement and relevant pre-delivery scope. If preparation changes the assessed configuration, repeat the material fitting or task evidence. A replacement needs its own relevant review; the substitution guide prevents approval transferring by a shared passenger-count label. Include actual restraint models, needed adults, normal positions and bags in a ROX 01 enquiry, without unnecessary child identity information. The final recommendation should state the supported arrangement and what further personal or qualified assessment remains. It should not approve universal restraint compatibility or every family journey from ordinary photographs, optional comfort equipment or the existence of a third row.

Questions buyers ask

Can a wide second row prove child-seat compatibility?

No. Assess actual vehicle and restraint applications under relevant instructions, with qualified help where needed. A dimension or reference photograph cannot approve a universal layout.

Does appropriate fitting automatically prove adult access and comfort?

No. Keep those personal tasks separate while retaining them in the same required occupied arrangement and applicable vehicle guidance.
